IOnian Sea water quality MOnitoring by Satellite data

The third measurement campaign, conducted between 1 and 2 July 2014, allowed the sampling (in situ sampling, multiparameter probe and ASD Optics) of twenty stations distributed along five transects at the mouth of Bradano, Basento, Cavone, Agri and Sinni rivers. These transects have a slight convexity, due to the persistence of a cyclonic vortex on Ionian Sea.
Starting from previous measurement campaigns results, it was decided to not sample at distances less than 1 km from the coast line, to make possible a comparison with MODIS OC data/products, which usually suffer from sub-pixel effects along the coast.
